Jump Start Smoothing Primer

This Product Is: a semi-matte primer charged with a triple antioxidant blend that creates a canvas of possibility for any skin tone

Good For: all skin types including dry, mature, sensitive, blemish-prone, combination and normal

Why We Love It: Exa Jump Start Smoothing Primer is a vegan primer in a universally flattering shade that doubles as skin care. The formula includes soothing cocoa fruit powder, CoQ10 and free radical-fighting fatty acids from raspberry seed to protect skin against blue-light damage. Positively charged quartz crystals magically extend the wear of your makeup and deliver a breakthrough blurring effect-like a photo filter, but IRL!  This cruelty-free primer is made with 97% natural, gluten-free ingredients, is safe for sensitive skin and approved by dermatologists.

Apply after skincare or on clean skin prior to makeup application. Tip: Mix with Exa foundation to create a sheer tinted moisturizer.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils

Authentic essential oils are physically extracted by steam or expression (cold pressing) of the skin of the fruit. Essential oils have not been chemically altered (via reaction, solvent extraction) from their natural state.

Certified Organic Fragrance

Certified Organic Fragrance

A blend of essential oils (see above) derived from plants that are grown in accordance with the USDA National Organic Program.

Natural Fragrance

Natural Fragrance

Natural fragrances are mixtures of aromatic raw materials. As opposed to a whole essential oil found in a plant, these chemicals are physically isolated from natural compounds, then blended together to create a scent. If only natural isolates are used, companies can declare the scent “natural.”

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Fragrance ingredients that have been extracted using solvents (alcohol, petrochemicals, vegetable oils), or extracted by fermentation, or ingredients which may have a natural component but have been significantly processed.

Synthetic Fragrance

Unfragranced/Unscented

Ingredients which are new molecules, made in a laboratory. The majority of synthetic constituent ingredients are from petroleum byproducts. Synthetic “nature-identical” ingredients fall into this category as well. Credo allows synthetic fragrances as long as there are no Dirty List components.

What's Behind "Fragrance"?

US law does not require that companies be transparent about the ingredients in fragrance/parfum. Credo believes in your right-to-know. We require all brands to categorize the fragrance in each product (see chart above), and encourage brands to fully disclose all scent ingredients.

All products are cruelty-free and formulated without ingredients on The Dirty List™️. At Credo, "clean" goes even deeper. Learn more.
